UNH Computing and Information Services (CIS) reports that the major barrier to activating power management is persistent myths that power management may cause instability or other problems with computer operation.
After several months of our power management program, CIS reports that a few of their clients wondered if their computer problems might be related to power management, but so far CIS has found that has not been the case. Properly activated, power management is a no-cost way to save significant amounts of energy at UNH.
